Universal
Files are saved in Unicode plain text format and can be opened with any text editor. The Texts application is available for Windows and Mac OS X operating systems.
Structural
There is a minimal set of styles available in Texts for paragraphs and words. That is enough to mark up text structure and can be easily converted to any other text format.
Visual
Styles are represented visually by font face, weight and size to emphasize the document structure – approach known as WYSIWYM.
